What program will you be taking in post-secondary and why does it interest you?
I will be attending Simon Fraser University majoring in criminology! I love that it is an interdisciplinary field with so many interesting areas of study to explore.
Tell us a little bit about your background (growing up, going to school, extra-curricular activities, etc.).
Growing up I loved playing sports (mainly soccer and volleyball) and in high school I competed on my school’s improve team.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
When I was really young I wanted to be a hairdresser. I have always been interested in a career as a lawyer or teacher as well.
What was your senior quote in high school?
My senior quote was “that was definitely not a Nashville party”.
What are you looking forward to in your freshman year?
In my freshman year I am looking forward to discovering new academic interests and expanding my mindset as I continue my education.
Who would you have dinner with if you could have it with any person, living or dead?
If I could have dinner with anyone it would have to be my first dog, Brodie!
What is the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Think of every challenge as an experience that you can grow from. A positive mindset is everything!
What was the last book you read?
I am currently reading “Life of Pi” by Yann Martel.
What would people be surprised to find out about you?
People may be surprised to find out that I am vegetarian and have been tried steak, hamburgers or even bacon!
