Beedie Luminaries recognizes the need for support among young refugees and immigrants arriving in Canada. We are stepping up to provide assistance to those who are wanting to pursue their post-secondary education, as a platform for them to rebuild their lives in Canada.

Eligibility
Requirements
To be considered for the program you must meet the basic eligibility requirements.
RESIDENCY
Be a refugee who was granted permanent residency or a protected person under subsection 95(2) of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (Canada) after January 1, 2016, residing full-time in BC for the previous 6 consecutive months.
FIT
Be born between ages of 19 and 34. Have completed secondary school (or equivalent).
INTENT
Plan to be a full-time or part-time student and use funding for post secondary education.
INSTITUTION
Apply to, or be currently enrolled at, one of the eligible post-secondary institutions.
FINANCIAL ADVERSITY
Demonstrate your and/or your family's financial adversity, and how it has affected you.
ENGAGEMENT
Be endorsed by a community organization, teacher, employer, settlement worker or someone who knows you well.
