BEEDIE LUMINARIES— Last year in 2023, Beedie Luminaries launched the Graduate Studies Award (GSA), offering 10 alumni students a scholarship of up to $50,000 to pursue a graduate degree program at eligible institutions across Canada. We’re excited to provide an update on where Michelle Yang is today.
After graduating last year with a BKin degree from the University of British Columbia, Beedie Luminaries alumni Michelle Yang has been busy settling into her first year of medical school. It has been a fast-paced, challenging environment full of new opportunities and friendships.
She has been enjoying learning both inside and outside of the classroom, such as practicing clinical examination skills in the family practice office and even shadowing in the operating room during a kidney transplant. She is excited for the many new experiences to come!
