BUILD - SCHOLARSHIPS FOR ASPIRING TRADES PROFESSIONALS
The vision for the BUILD scholarship program is to create a pathway for aspiring students to begin their journey toward a rewarding career in the skilled trades to address the critical skills gap in B.C.’s growing economy.

To be considered for the program you must meet the basic eligibility requirements:
Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a protected person in Canada (International students are not eligible), residing in British Columbia.
Be under the age of 35 (i.e., born after January 1, 1992).
Students must enroll in one of the eligible post-secondary institutions (see Program Guidelines).
Demonstrate your and/or your family's financial adversity, and how it has affected you.
Preference may be given to applicants who have completed or are enrolled in a Trades Discovery program or an equivalent Trades preparatory program
Must have applied and been accepted or waitlisted in a Foundation or Pre-Apprenticeship certificate program (under the Interprovincial Standards Red Seal Program) in the following construction trades that are among the top in-demand in BC: Carpenters Electricians (construction) Plumbers Welders Sheet Metal Workers
