The Vistara Elevate Award, initiated as part of the Beedie Luminaries Program, is part of Vistara Capital Growth‘s commitment to supporting students of ethnic and racial diverse backgrounds who are pursuing their degrees in finance and/or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).
This year’s recipient, Atta Ur Rehman Faiz, is pursuing a computer science and mechanical engineering degree at the University of British Columbia. Prior to attending UBC, Atta not only received top marks, but assisted the One Blood for Life organization and was a member of his high-school’s NASA Team.
This award also includes a commitment to offer, directly or through its network, a paid summer internship to the selected student, following their first year of study.
Further, to help elevate these students to be best prepared for long-term success, Vistara will be providing mentorship to the Vistara Elevate Award recipients over their full four-year post-secondary journey. This year’s recipient will be mentored by Director of Investments at Vistara, John O’Donoghue.
