What program will you be taking in post-secondary and why does it interest you?
I will be attending University of British Columbia, enrolled in the UBC Sauder School of Business. I love learning about the logistics behind business, how they operate, and how to come up with creative business strategies.
Tell us a little bit about your background (growing up, going to school, extra-curricular activities, etc.).
I was born in the USA in Seattle, I moved to Vancouver when I was 5 years old. I grew up learning French through the French immersion program at my school. On my free time, I love to swim and I am currently a private swim instructor.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up?
As a kid, I wanted to be a teacher, just like my mom!
What was your senior quote in high school?
My senior quote was “The harder you work for something, the greater you’ll feel when you achieve it.”
What are you looking forward to in your freshman year?
I am excited to expand my horizons and meet new people along with exploring and joining different clubs offered at my school.
What is the best piece of advice someone has ever given you?
“Life is best for those who can make the most out of less.”
What was the last book you read?
A Thousand Splendid Suns.
What are people surprised to find out about you?
I can sleep anytime, anywhere, any amount of time.
