Teresa’s background in post-secondary student support services began in Financial Aid at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. Following a few years of providing assistance to students at the front line, she took on the role of KPU’s Scholarships and Awards Coordinator, and continued to support students by administering the university scholarship programs and educating students about funding opportunities. For over 25 years Teresa helped facilitate annual scholarship committees and oversee the selection processes, to ensure award funds were distributed to deserving students.
During that time, she was also invited to attend annually, as an adjudicator with the BC Scholarship Society, and in 2019 participated on her first of several selection committees for Scholarship Partners Canada/Universities Canada. After retiring in 2021, she has maintained her involvement with external organizations, and welcomes learning updates about the scholarship evaluation systems.
Teresa looks forward to continue applying the experience gained through her career and beyond, to help support these valuable scholarship programs, and is grateful to have this opportunity.
